An association for design as a cultural practice
Sensemaking is how we give meaning to what surrounds us when the maps are no longer enough.
Sensemaking Design Italia is a non-partisan, non-profit cultural association. We organise events, produce content and facilitate processes to make design accessible as a lever for social innovation.
We believe design is a cultural, ethical and political act, not just a technical skill. We draw on the values of the Italian Constitution and the Resistance. We work for an open community of practice, where people learn together how to move through complexity.
Design does not solve. Design gives shape to meaning.
